CMIS 5.3
Use the current public CMIS specification as the management-interface reference where the module and host support it.
Do not scale an optical BOM from a catalog match alone. Freeze the endpoint, port, module, fiber and software context; validate a representative link; then preserve the configuration used for volume deployment.
OIF CMIS defines a common management interface for pluggable modules including QSFP-DD and OSFP. It can expose module identity, state and diagnostics, but a valid management readout alone does not prove end-to-end interoperability.
Use the current public CMIS specification as the management-interface reference where the module and host support it.
Preserve the exact platform, software, port, optic and fiber combination that passed the agreed validation.
Send the exact platform, port mode, optical PN, fiber path, quantity and target deployment date.
