InfiniBand NDR 400G Interconnect
NDR is a 400 Gb/s InfiniBand generation. Platform-specific port mechanics, cable/transceiver type and switch-to-adapter topology matter, so selection starts from the exact switch, adapter/DPU and link length.
InfiniBand NDR 400G Interconnect
NDR 400 Gb/s-class InfiniBand interconnect selection for AI training fabrics, HPC clusters and validated switch-to-adapter links.
Selection notes
Connector and transceiver type depend on switch, adapter/DPU and reach; validate the full end-to-end link.
Project validation before quotation
Before we recommend an exact PN, send the host platform, port type, link topology, reach, quantity and required date.
Freeze the exact NDR endpoint and media path before selecting a PN
NDR is a 400 Gb/s InfiniBand generation, but the deployable interconnect depends on the exact Quantum-2 / adapter endpoints, port implementation, link mode and NVIDIA-validated cable or transceiver path.
NDR 400G link model
- NVIDIA's current 400G LinkX guide describes NDR 400G as four 100G-PAM4 channels.
- Quantum-2 switch implementations can use twin-port OSFP while adapter-side implementations may use single-port OSFP or QSFP112.
- NDR200 and breakout paths use different lane mappings and must be taken from the documented endpoint combination.
- Do not infer the cable or transceiver PN from the words “NDR 400G” alone.
Platform and protocol state
- Record the exact switch and ConnectX / HCA / DPU model at both ends of the link.
- Confirm the port is operating in InfiniBand mode when the adapter supports multiple protocols.
- Use NVIDIA's validated/supported cable and module evidence for the active firmware generation.
- Freeze firmware, port mode, media PN, fiber/copper path and test result before volume deployment.
